Baseball wins 3 game series vs SLO


The Varsity Baseball team played their first 3 game series of league matches against San Luis Obispo (SLO) High School this last week. Their first game of the series was was on Wed, April 21, at SLO High School. After two extra innings, the Bearcats pulled through with a 11-5 win, leaving the Tigers with a disappointing loss, and not much hope for redemption for the last two games of the series. On Sat, April 24, the teams competed at Barnhart Field at Paso Robles High Schoool at 11a.m. and 2p.m. In the first game, the Bearcats earned their second win of the series with a final score of 8-4. And then in the last game, SLO came close to winning during the 7th inning by tying the score 7-7 and gaining an extra inning, however the Bearcats defended their winning streak in the bottom of the 8th inning with a final score of 8-7.

The Bearcats are 9-2 overall (which includes preseason), and are 3-0 for league games. The Bearcats play next against the St. Joseph Knights on Wed, April 28 for the first game of the series, and then play the next two games the following Saturday on May 1.
