An overview of the Paso Robles Highschool 2026 Prom
ABSOLUTE CINEMA

Surround sound, 3D glasses, amazing visuals: the Paso Robles High School Prom took Old Hollywood as its theme, and it has it all. This location premiered the cinematic PRHS Prom at Anderson Castle, and the ratings are through the roof.

Prom was organized by junior class president Tessa Cooper with the funding and planning organized by Kelsey Bellew. They both highly recommended going to prom this year to enjoy what is planned for eligible students for opening night.

“Prom is more about getting dressed up, having one last event before graduation or summer vacation, and it is definitely worth going to,” Bellew said.

The previous dances throughout the year at PRHS in student opinions have been lacking in attendance, but prom is always the event that stands out the most. Even though tickets usually decline at other dances, prom sales soar and even sell out. Seniors and adults suggest going to prom at least once since it is arguably the only opportunity to have this experience twice in your life. The tickets are the first hook for this event, as the number of ticket sales soar.

“On average we sell between 550 and 600 tickets, for this event space our limit is 600 tickets, but we will typically print more if people are still buying” Bellew said.

“We do prom better than most places because either it’ll be too cheap or too expensive, and our school offers a good middle ground,” junior Tessa Cooper said.

Cooper is the class president of the leadership program and also has gone to prom herself her sophomore year via a guest pass. Cooper helped decide this theme for prom and also has advice for juniors this year that have not gone to prom yet.

“You just need a friend group to go to prom with, you don’t need a date to have fun,” Cooper said.

Cooper’s main goal for this prom was to offer an amazing experience for juniors and seniors and to also have a dance that shined over the previous Homecoming and Winter Semi-Formal dance.

I had a good time, the venue was really nice, and people complimented my outfit. The snacks were amazing too,” senior Nico Torres said. This prom was Torres’ first prom at PRHS, he is glad to have gone as he potentially could’ve regretted it after graduating.

“There could’ve been more slow dancing songs, but the people at prom made it very fun,” junior Cristina Lynch said. According to Lynch as long as there are people that attend the event, anybody can have fun.

“I had fun at prom, it was a good last school event before graduation,” an anonymous student said.

Prom is always a memorable event throughout high school, and PRHS doesn’t fail to deliver at making these memories.
