Paso Robles Joint Unified School District celebrates five excellent employees on May 5

Every spring, the Paso Robles Joint Unified School District recognizes outstanding employees from across its school sites by nominating them for districtwide awards. This year’s celebration took place May 5 at the Riboli Family of San Antonio Winery, where staff members gathered in a festive Cinco de Mayo-themed setting.

Decorated with colorful flowers and Nacho Average Employee decor, the venue featured nachos, birria tacos and pastries for attendees as nominees were honored for their contributions to the district. Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources Shauna Ames opened the ceremony by introducing the awards, while Superintendent Jennifer Loftus personally greeted each nominee with a handshake before announcing the winners at the end of every award segment. The evening concluded with the celebration of all honorees, closing off the 2025-26 school year.

Junior Jesus Ursulo Echevarria is one of the Directors, as well as Carmesi Co-Director, Photography Co-Director, and Social Media Director; this is his second year in Crimson. Ursulo enjoys shooting portraits and sports, aspiring to grow his photography business known as juecaptures. Behind the lens, Ursulo has begun his first year in Forte (Adv. Choir), and is in his third year of performing during halftime for PRHS Color Guard.
