Bearcats demolish Huskies in the last preseason match before league
The varsity women’s volleyball demolished Hanford South on Sep. 5th, winning the first three sets with scores of 25-4, 25-13, and 25-17. Their win puts the the Bearcats 3-1 for the season, working hard to keep up their positive record. Varsity libero Sophie Prieto helped the bearcats to the win, serving 9 aces and defending tenaciously with 19 digs in the first two sets. Freshman Olivia Wright helped the team tremendously with an almost impossible save, sprinting to save the ball with an amazing pass to setter Shasta Garcia who then set to Haylee Wescom to continue the rally. During the first set, the Bearcats only allowed the Huskies to score 4 points with their lockdown defence and aggressive offense.
