With a total of two goals scored in the second half of the game, the PRHS Varsity Girls Soccer team beat St. Joseph at their Senior Night game on Jan. 29. Prior to the game, the Bearcats celebrated their seniors, holding up a banner for them to run through and hanging posters of the seniors on the gates of the field. Each of the two goals scored were made by seniors. The first goal was scored by senior Elise Scheiffele, who plays forward, and the second was made in the last two minutes of the game by senior Giselle Zatarain, who plays midfielder and forward. The Bearcats currently hold fourth place in league with six wins and five losses. Their last game is on Feb. 5 against Pioneer Valley, who they previously played on Dec. 14 and beat 2-1. The following week, the team will play their first CIF game.[envira-gallery id=”34926″]
