The new $4,000 ag Shadehouse sprung up on October 7 with the donations from the Lowe’s Heroes Program and hours of labor from over 70 students. “The Lowe’s heroes help with community based projects that also benefit the community,” the Lowe’s representative said. The new wood and netting structure, the brainchild of Ag Floral teacher Theresa Clark, will be used to grow plants that require large quantities of shade such as lettuce and celery. A portion of the produce will be given back to food banks and to needy students identified by PRHS teachers. The Shadehouse has been planned since late June.
