Bearcats defeat Morro Bay in a 6 – 0 in first preseason game.
The softball team took on the Morro Bay Pirates on Feb. 27 in a preseason game on the home field. This season’s new line up has been training November and it’s apparent that their work has payed off. Three points were scored in the second and third period, but the game picked up with an impressive fifth inning with the offense scoring a total of three runs. The Bearcats’ strong defense prevented the Pirates from getting a single point throughout the game. The fast paced game featured an impressive play by second baseman Brooke Milder, who after barely snagging a ball, made an underhand pass to first baseman Karli Whisenhunt getting the team their third out and ending the inning. The Bearcats will return to the field on Feb. 28 to face off the Templeton Eagles.
