Stunt wins double header against Knights and Tigers

The Varsity Stunt team took on two teams this past Wednesday, Mar. 27, 2024, meeting the St. Joseph Knights and the San Luis Obispo Tigers in a showdown at Arroyo Grandes gymnasium, playing back to back games coming out victorious. The Bearcats are currently at a season record of 9-0, and a league record of 2-0.

Entering into their first game against the Knights the Bearcats were feeling confident, having faced them twice already in the season beating them both of those times. As the teams played the Bearcats remained on top, with a final score of 14-7 but it was not over yet going straight into a game right after their first win.

PRHS and SLOHS battled for supremacy last season, where the cats fell short in the final round of CIF, redemption was on the line for the ladies both on the mat and sideline. As the captains and coaches approached for the coin toss, Paso won the toss, giving them possession for the first half of the game.

Playing hard in the first half the girls came out with an 8-0 lead against the Tigers going into the second half. The game progressed leading to yet another victory for PRHS, 20-3 against the Tigers.

Their next game will be Apr. 10 against the Nipomo Titans, at four, and the San Luis Obispo Tigers, at six, in Atascadero.
