Varsity boys basketball faced off against St. Joseph High School and fell victim to a tragic loss that left fans hanging their heads in defeat. At the end of the first quarter, the score was already a whopping 22-6 in favor of St. Joe’s. By the end of the game, the boys were all exhausted and worn in with a final score of 43-85 with St. Joe’s victorious. But junior Devin Perez kept pushing through, trying to keep his team alive and playing with everything that they had. The team didn’t care about the score. They kept playing hard like the game was tied. The Bearcats’ determination and strong mentality will help to make them better players so that they will win the next match up against Arroyo Grande High School on Tuesday, February 11th.
