Bearcats fall short to the greyhounds

Varsity girls tennis lose match 2-7 on their home turf

On Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2019 the Varsity girls tennis team had a tough loss against rivals the Atascadero Greyhounds with a final score of 2-7. The team had standout wins in their doubles matches. Kristal Roman and Lainey Callahan won their match with a score of 8-2. Jasmin Dondiego and Kyla Enos also won 8-4. After Tuesday’s match, it left the Bearcats 5-9 overall and with an away game against Righetti on Sept. 19, 2019.

“We lost the game unfortunately, but I was impressed with how the team played. We lost quite a few seniors last year so we’ve had to work really hard to improve our games and make up for it,” junior Zoey Mayo said.
