As the fall season progresses, we decided to coat ourselves in the festivities with good ole’ caramel apple making. But why not venture from the typical store bought sheets you drape over a candle when Pinterest has thousands- literally thousands of recipes to try out for yourself? To find the best of the best recipes- we ventured into the depths of ‘soccer mom’ Pinterest boards. With recipes ranging from microwaved caramel candies to a 6-hour caramelization process, we hand-selected three methods that seemed to cover the bases. The best recipe of the three, we found, to be the first- and easiest of the ones we tried our hand at. To get the most authentic taste at the cheapest cost and time commitment, we’d recommend melting down some candies and butter. But please, don’t put it in the microwave.
