Freshman Kezzia Beltran is feeling the struggle
in her high school life
Kezzia is a person that never has trouble with anything at school. She always used to get a 4.0 GPA, but this semester she has slipped to a 3.8 GPA. Because she is now having trouble with concentrating in her classes. She believes that school has been very hard, and she. “Wishes that her teachers could be a little bit more flexible on assignment deadlines and difficulty.” She experienced a lot of trouble this semester with homework and classwork. She’s facing on average 15 assignments per day. Not all of her assignments are easy, she said”now she can’t really ask for help. “She wishes she could go back to regular school,” but in November she selected the hybrid option like over 80% of her classmates. Beltran hopes she will be able to go into the teachers’ classes during lunch time and ask for help like normal times. But with Covid-19 she can’t go back to school and ask for help. Now what she does is that she emails them or goes to the tutorial after school.
Family
Her life has been pretty well, centering around life with her mom, dad and brother. But when it comes to school and her brother Danko Beltran it has been pretty hard. They both go to high school since her brother is a senior and both of them admit that they both struggle to concentrate because they both get distracted when they’re doing something in specific and they just both want to do something else. School focus is a challenge mainly because they’re home and they just want to do other stuff that isn’t school. For example, watch TV, eat, and sleep. Her semester has for sure been one of her hardest ones.
