PRHS’ head custodian Tim Williams, a loved and respected figure at PRHS passed away from a brief illness on Nov. 28, 2017. Williams started in 2004 in the Support Services of PRJUSD. He previously worked jobs at JJ Liquors, Texaco and as a chef at the Paso Robles Inn.

“Tim was a wonderful man. Enjoyed conversations with him and a couple mischievous endeavors around campus that were all in fun! He was such a good sport and a fun guy,” Special Ed teacher Melissa Diedrich said.

Williams had many friends in the district including Nancy Taylor, also a long time friend for 30 years. Her favorite memories with him were their get togethers and endless conversations.

“Tim’s life was one of education, an honest hard worker and often giving to others. He enjoyed working, staying busy and making sure others were sufficient for their needs. He was a giving man and never asked in return,” said Taylor.

After a long summer of deep cleaning classrooms, Williams thanked each of his staff with a generous gift card, strictly out of his pocket because he felt they had deserved it.

Coworkers came together with food and reminiscent memories on Thursday Dec. 14 2017, for a memorial in the 100s building on the PRHS campus. One of Williams co-workers, Andrea Garcia spoke very passionately of Williams and his impact.

“More than my boss he was my friend, somebody I could trust on, somebody that respected me as an employee.”

She also stated that she became very close with Williams over a year and a half.

“Now I feel like I have an extra angel watching over me.”
