Festivity Fills The Church

Merry laughter and songs made up the evening on the 14th of December.
Festivity Fills The Church

Cold wind blew Dec. 12, 2024, surrounding Trinity Lutheran Church and the two shows titled Bearcat Holiday Spirit, unaffecting the jolly warmth in choir members’ smiles and bands members’ outfits and the audience’s hearts. From young children to mature adults, over 100 persons all gathered to watch the performances put on by musical performance groups – along with PRHS mascot, and cheerleaders joining in all the fun. And this night, Photography and Math teacher Michael Witman, and Emery Teale played several songs as an accompanists on the piano.

Gaylene Ewing is the choir director for these groups. The band director for these groups was Humberto Cera.
Multiple music groups dotted the evening’s program. The Crimson Collective, a group made Divyana Emmons, Mia Kosharek, Erin Rowins, Lilliana Line, Shane Mullinix, and Daniel Narez, sang three songs and lead five sing-a-longs. PRHS Jazz Band made melodies with 23 students and their instruments. Concert Band, with over 48 performers let loose notes, filling the air with happiness. FORTE performed holiday songs alongside these groups. In a special number, PRHS cheerleaders joined in all fun with multiple sing-a-longs. They cheered and brought the audience to their feet, creating a joyous imprint in the memories of everyone.
Each show was an hour long. Altogether, performers gathered and performed a flare of jazz and Christmas songs, 14 in total. The evening wrapped all together with Christmas pop sing-a-longs, and guest cheerleaders ending the night together.
