Varsity girls come in second at CCAA FAT Varsity Meet
The Paso High Varsity Boys Track Team placed first in their CCAA FAT varsity meet on March 13. Top performances from the men’s team include senior Jordan Summers, who placed first in the 100m dash with a time of 11.31 second, junior Jerhamy Kelley, who placed second in the 110m hurdles with a time of 16.37, junior Ian Grace, who placed second in the 300m hurdles with a time of 41.59, and senior Corban Payne, who placed first in shotput with a 52-09 throw.
On the girls’ side, top performers included senior Kendall Caruana, who earned second place in the 400m with a time of 1:02.83, freshman Sophia Berry, who placed second in the 800m with a time of 2:25.78, and senior Kimberly Buchanan, who placed first in shotput, throwing a 40-05. Senior Torri Pugh placed first in pole vault with a height of 10-00, and junior Shasta Garcia followed in second place with a height of 9-06.
The Bearcats’ next meet is on Wednesday, March 20, as they face off in a duel meet against Arroyo Grande in a duel meet.
