The Varsity Girl’s soccer team earns a victory over the Atascadero Hounds
The soccer squad beat the Hounds 1-0 at the War Memorial Field on Jan. 12. This marks their eighth win of the season and leaves them with an 8-3-3 overall record. Junior Giselle Zatarain scored the Bearcats’ winning goal in the first quarter. Zartarain was assisted by junior Rebeca Garcia. Senior Alexis Serna kept the Hounds from scoring with 12 saves throughout the game. The team currently stands in third place in the Pac 8 girl’s soccer league close behind the San Luis Obisbo Tigers. The Paso Robles girl’s varsity soccer team’s next game is a home conference vs. Righetti on Tuesday, Jan. 16 at 6pm.
