Athletes bring home firsts in several events
Varsity Bearcat Track and Field athletes ran in the annual Atascadero Memorial Meet on Saturday, Mar. 11. Notable performances included Annie Meeder’s win in the 3200m with a time of 11:23, Madison Mitchell’s winning time of 47.79 in the 300m hurdles, and Jacob Franklin’s win in both the shotput and discucs, earning 49’10.5 and 147′. Additionally, Cade England won the triple jump with a distance of 41’02 and Javier Solis won the 400m with a time of 51.22.
The Varsity FAT meet in Atascadero will be the track and field team’s next race on Friday, Mar. 17. The meet will begin at 3:00 and will likely run until 7:00.
