11 new courses have been presented to PRJUSD Trustees and Superintendent of Curriculum Anthony Overton
, to become possible additions to the courses that students have the opportunity to choose from for the 2024-2025 school year. The 11 courses that are up to be brought to the council include wrestling, AP seminar, Acting IV honors, two new VAPA courses, a new CTE Photography course, and a revamping of the current ELD program.
On Nov. 16, 2023 half of the courses have been reviewed so far, according to principal Megan Fletcher. During fall break another meeting is scheduled to go over the second half of courses. Acting teacher Marcy Keyser-Goodnow is one of the teachers who is up to have a class changed or added to her schedule next year.
More information about what courses will be accepted into the curriculum will be available after the week of Nov. 20, 2023.
