Varsity Girls Soccer Beats Atascadero 3-1

Girls soccer played their first home game against Paso rivals, the Atascadero Grey Hounds on April 15, 2020 at War Memorial Stadium. Bearcats dominated most of the game with more shots on goal than Atascadero. All three of the goals were scored by first year varsity players, Lucy Pritchard (sophomore), Ava Barezay (sophomore), and Audree Lerma (freshman).

Junior and co-captain Rayvin Wulfing #22 battles to win possession of ball against a Grey Hound. Sophomore Audree Lerman #19 almost scores a header by receiving the ball off a corner kick. Sophomore Devon Kinder #7 crosses the ball to center field. Junior Liberty Seabart winds up for a cross the the center of the 18 yard box. Junior Rayvin Wulfing dribbles ball down the field to find a pass to a teammate. Sophomore Jaclyn Bullard #17 fights for possession of the ball. Senior Maya Kinder #4 steals ball away from grey Hound. Sophomore Audree Lerma #19 controls ball before passing it to teammate. Sophomore Jaclyn Bullard #17 breaks away to pass ball to teammate. So far the Girls Varsity has played 4 out of their 10 league games, which are scheduled every Tuesday and Thursday at 5:30 pm. They’ve won one (vs Atascadero) and lost three (vs St. Joseph, San Luis Obispo, and Arroyo Grande). With six games left in the season, the team is working really hard to prepare themselves to play some tough games coming up in the next few weeks. Their goal is to win enough games to qualify for CIF. The next home game is Tuesday April 27 versus Righetti Warriors at War Memorial Stadium.
