Varsity softball takes on an alumni team during preseason
The varsity softball team went up against a different type of team on Saturday, Feb. 25, they played against fellow Bearcats. The team played a group of Bearcat alumni who played softball in their high school years. This was the first annual Varsity vs. Alumni game, which the team hopes to make a tradition. The alumni roster ranged from the class of ’89 to ’14 and everything in between. This game ended the girls preseason and marked the beginning of their season. The game was absent from its usual fierce competition and was replaced with laughter and a fun environment. No score was kept but it was obvious that the varsity team reigned supreme with their countless runs.
