To my AVID seniors: Congratulations on all of your accomplishments! You have persevered through many difficulties and have proven that you are capable of achieving your goals. Whether hanging out on field trips or watching you work together in tutorial, its been a joy and a privilege to get to know all of you and to see you find the path that is best for you. Here are a few pieces of advice to ponder as you head off to the university:
- Don’t let all of the extra paperwork get you down. Its just one of many hurdles that you will be able to clear if you don’t let it discourage you.
- Search for truth. Don’t just believe what your hear or read.
- Try to achieve balance. Its needed in college as well as in most areas of life.
