Dear Class of 2025,
For 413 senior Bearcats, the next couple of weeks will be the last time they walk the grounds of Paso Robles High School. All they’re left with is to answer the question prompted to them all their life: what are your plans for the future? The question is heavy and worrisome, and yet time marches on. Before you know it, underclassmen, you’ll also be thrust into adulthood. Every single senior has to choose their next step, whether it be college, the workforce, the military, or something else. The world is changing, and more than ever humanity needs strong and intelligent voices to lead us into the future.
High school is just one volume in the comic serialization that is your life. While it’s certainly important to start flipping onto the next chapters, reminiscing about the past is also just as important. Sometimes the random and little things make the most impact on us and are the moments which we cherish the most. Seniors – and all of us who will be seniors – need to remember the sunsets, the laughs, the cries, and everything else which tells the story of our lives.
For seniors, this summer is an opportunity, that first step into real adulthood and independence. At this pivotal point in your life, finding a balance is key. One between taking risks for your future and getting the reprieve summer promises. Find a summer job, get that license, maybe even tour your dream colleges. But remember in the midst of all that busyness make sure to find the time to kick back with those you love. Make the most of what could be the last time you do so.

Advice from Crimson Staff
“Continue to challenge yourself to keep being curious and explore new places and people. There are so many more opportunities outside of your bubble that you have no idea about until you have that ounce of courage” – Kaile’a Stoltzfus
“Don’t feel pressured by the weight of the world. It can be easy to become consumed by the fears and ideas that parents and social media tell you, but you’ll never fully understand it until you go through it yourself. Don’t let other people make those opinions for you, and make every decision count!” – Paityn Whitson Swanson
