Bearcat boys basketball loses to the templeton eagles 36-56
The crowd filled with crimson and white cheers for the boys’ Bearcat varsity basketball team, on January 17, 2023. Though there were hopes of a victory, the Bearcats lost against the Templeton Eagles in a grueling game, 36-56.
PRHS had a good start with a five point lead, shooting guard and small forward Omar Acevedo making two two-point shots and a free throw earning the Bearcat. At the end of the first quarter of the game, however, the Bearcats were down 5-15 after the Eagles stepped up their offense.
The second quarter starts with power forward Wyatt Hayley making a two point shot and a free throw gaining the team three points in total. The Eagles scored a total of 16 points in the second quarter placing them in the lead.
By the end of the third quarter Hayley makes another free throw putting the Bearcats at 22-50 heading into the final quarter. The final quarter ends with point guard Kalib Khan making a two point shot.
The Bearcats defended their territory valiantly, but lost with a final score of 36-56.
