Berry, a tennis player and online entrepreneur has struggled and grown in the time since PRHS shut its doors

It’s been a grueling nine months, according to Etsy-savvy Sophia Berry.

She has two at-risk family members at home, so she has had to remain incredibly vigilant, which means she has been completely cut off socially from her peers.

She made it clear that missing out on social interaction and not getting to see her friends and peers on a daily basis has really sent her down a dark path.  She struggled with staying motivated with school, and not getting to play sports up until recently has been incredibly hard for her.   

What came out of it

Something really good came out of this struggle, however.  She went on to say,

Berry used her art as an outlet for her emotions, and on top of that, has been able to sell many of her artworks for money on Etsy through her marketplace known as HalfBreedMedia. 

Berry concluded with the final remark, “I can’t believe I was that person… it’s crazy how far away that was. I’m still stuck in sophomore year.” 

When COVID hit, Berry’s life froze, but through her art she has been able to thaw the ice.
