Alayna Hernandez is in her first year of Crimson and is currently editor for the world section. Hernandez’s aims to educate her audience about world affairs and the national and global events that shape day to day life. As a middle schooler, Hernandez was introduced to journalism by her sister and former Crimson writer, Sabrina. She admires the creative freedom of news writing and values its importance to public education. Hernandez’s other hobbies include creative writing, watching movies with her family, and gardening
